Mr. Dancealot
The Mr. Dancealot video was to portray why hands on learning is very important. How can you learn to dance without actually dancing? The author makes his case by demonstrating that the students went the whole semester without dancing, and at the end, when Mr. Dancealot wanted the students to dance, they really did not know how. I agree with the author's conclusion. I believe that the teacher should have let the students try to mimic the dancing that he was teaching in every class.


Teaching in the 21st Century

I feel that the way Roberts see's teaching changing is one hundred percent correct. Teaching today is including a lot more technology and teachers are learning as well as students. It is the teacher's responsibility to teach the students how to handle the resources. teaching a tsudent to create, in many different ways with technology is another example of teaching in the 21st century. Roberts view on teaching in the 21st century will affect me as an educator in ways such as I would need to learn the many different ways to use technology in my lessons. I, as a teacher, would also need to learn how to make my lessons engaging.


The Networked Student
The Networked Student video was a great demonstration on how students in the 21st century are going to use technology. I feel that the reasons why the networked student still needs a teacher are fully true. The student still needs guidance, to be taught professionalism and how to handle certain situations in a professional manner. The teacher is there for support, questions, and any problems you as a student might encounter.


Harness your student's digital smarts
I believe Vicki Davis' thesis is to teach education through technology and that it only benefits the students and helps them learn, interact, and teach each other. My reaction to her argument is positive. I feel, just as Vicki Davis, that helping students learn about the different ways to use technology and letting them teach each other and collaborate is the best way to learn. Using a class blog is one way for a lot of different roles in the school system to participate. Other teachers and students can participate and learn in ways that are only beneficial to the 21st century learning.


Who's Ahead in the Learning Race?
I believe the students in Elementary school are ahead in the learning race. My position is an undergraduate student. I believe Dr. Strange's comparisons are amazing. It is so simple for the Elementary students to learn all the new technology in school, yet it seems so hard to comprehend to undergraduate and graduate students. I believe that the Elementary students have learned to do a lot of their work on their own, as have we, but they seem to comprehend quicker. In the video, the Elementary students are using Google docs, recording audio on their own, and commenting on blogs. Those are all things I as a undergraduate student am just now learning.


Flipping the Classroom
Flipping the Classroom is a new teaching strategy to me. I feel this approach would only benefit myself, as a teacher. I feel that way because students involved in Flipping the Classroom, have an independent responsibility to go home and watch a lesson on the computer. This is teaching the students responsibility, technology, and even creativity. Creativity in the questions the students ask about the lesson, or how they comprehend the lesson itself. I feel that this approach would be useful to myself as a teacher because it will bring in the creativity and the unique learning patterns of each and every student. The can address the different levels of learning and help me to individualize the learning assessments.
